Movecat Academy - Seminar information
The march of technology today is making ever more complex systems possible, but to take full advantage of these technical possibilities and be able to implement the project-specific safety-relevant and technical requirements of such systems a sound knowledge base is required. Movecat Academy was founded to assist a growing number of operators and users to make optimal and above all safe use of the entire range of functions offered by our products in conformity with the relevant guidelines and regulations as well as meet their own service and maintenance obligations with respect to them.
Movecat Academy offers, through a thoughtfully differentiated range of seminars, training and further education for users of widely differing levels of expertise. Participants decide for themselves which types of seminar and requirement profile are required for their individual day-to-day work. This modular structure adjusts to the time constraints, making possible the continual resumption of training and further professionalization of the user over several years.
The Academy dates for the year 2020 are now fixed. We will be offering far more training courses than in previous years with the focus even more specially on the requirements of our customers. Therefore we have splitted our well-known Administrator Course into two really specialized new courses: I-Motion Operator and I-Motion Systemtech.
I-Motion Basic
(formerly Super User)
Legal and technical principles and regulations. Risk analysis, system configuration and hardware structure at user level. Simple show programming (setup runs). Setting-up components incl. fault detection.
Requirements: Specialist in events technology.

I-Motion Operator

If you'd like to be able to program complex runs and use every trick in the book when operating the console, and you are not that interested in technical details, then you've come to the right place. Make the absolute most of the software and create great shows including ones involving time code and media server connectivity.

I-Motion Systemtech

Requirements: Basic Course (formerly Super User) and six months onsite experience.

Qualified expert for lifting devices fixed speed
Proper and appropriate handling and maintenance of D8 / D8 plus and C1 fixed speed hoists. Fundamentals of controller types incl. selection after successful risk analysis and the basic principles of the annual UVV inspection.
Requirements: Specialist in events technology or 3 years work experience.

I-Motion Network: introduction to overall functionality, system components, data protocols, dead-man function and emergency-stop concept, system structure, functioning and limits of the components: NDB, ESB, NDC, PMC-HV, maximum cable lengths and power supply.
